Victus Advisors to Conduct a Sports Community Assessment for Columbia, Missouri

April 2014 - Victus Advisors was recently awarded a contract by the City of Columbia (Missouri) and the Columbia CVB to conduct a Sports Tourism Market & Facility Analysis. The primary goals of this study will be to:

- Develop a realistic road map for the Columbia community to become a primary destination for youth and adult sports.
- Deliver specific recommendations; from an organizational, strategic, market and facility standpoint; to help strengthen Columbia as a sports tourism market.
- Assess the feasibility of creating a Sports Advisory Board/Commission in Columbia.

Victus Advisors will work with our strategic partner Jeff Goldscher ( on this study, and we will implement a wide range of tools, including local market and comparative market analysis, facility analysis, public engagement (interviews, focus groups, surveys), marketing/branding best practices, and economic/fiscal impact analysis. The entire process is expected to take approximately four months, with findings due by the end of the summer.
